Mandy Fazeli: Founder, President, Board Member

Born and raised in Iran, Mandy has spent most of her life in Southern California.  She has worked for Farmers Insurance, a subsidiary of Zurich Financial Services, for a good majority of that time.

Mandy did not always know what her calling in life was, but there has been very little doubt about the depth of satisfaction she felt, whenever she was able to impact other people's lives, be it in small ways.  Mandy has always been involved in humanitarian activities; whether as a volunteer for Chrysalis, an organization which helps the homeless in LA's Skid Row to get back on their feet; as a mentor with the Fulfillment Fund helping underprivileged students reach higher education; or as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity Global Village, which builds affordable housing for low income families around the world.  As Founder and President of AMBW, Mandy uses her management skills, international background, and humanitarian ambitions to give the hope of education to youth around the world.

Sangita Khot: Outreach Officer

Sangita Khot is an Information Technology professional with 18 years of experience as a technical expert and Project Manager. A native of Mumbai, India, Sangita has been working for the last ten years with Farmers Insurance Group in Simi Valley, CA, where she lives with her husband and two children.

Throughout her life, Sangita’s outreach to others has been at the personal and local community level, in response to those in need around her. In school, temple, and work communities, she has sponsored the education of children. In her role as global Outreach Officer, Sangita’s compassion and personal initiative will foster AMoreBalancedWorld, by further extending its reach to affiliates and beneficiaries around the world.

Mukesh Agrawal: Board Member

Mukesh Agrawal was born and raised in India, where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Utkal University, one of the pioneer universities in India. In 2000, he moved to the United States, where he obtained U.S. citizenship.  Mukesh has worked as an Information Technology (IT) Professional since 1998. His career experiences include holding leadership positions with a premier IT consulting company, and serving as Managing Director of a small steel industry operation, in India. He is now the President and CEO of the IT consulting company that he founded.

Mukesh has been actively involved in humanitarian causes, including the global service programs, trauma relief projects, and peace initiatives of The Art of Living Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing the spirit of compassion in a global society.

Diana Stephens: Board Member

Dr. Diana Stephens, Assistant Professor in Counseling & Guidance at California Lutheran University, joined the Board of Directors of AMoreBalancedWorld, in 2010.  She holds advanced degrees in Human Development, Human Organizational Systems, and School Counseling.  She also holds a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling in the State of California, and national certification as a Family Life Educator from the National Council on Family Relations.

Dr. Stephens brings to AMoreBalancedWorld her experience as Chair of the Diversity and Educational Excellence Working Group for the Center for Equality and Justice as well as over twenty-five years of experience in clinical counseling, administration, and consultation in both non-profit and private sectors.

Diana’s passion in creating cultures of care will help guide the Board’s decision-making processes, while connecting the organization directly with students in need in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties in California. Her belief that 'understanding diverse perspectives and honoring the cultural heritage of all humankind is essential in achieving success', fits well with the vision and goals of AMoreBalancedWorld.
