A More Balanced World – 2025 Recap
Reflecting on a Year of Growth, Resilience, and Global Impact
As we close out 2025, we look back with immense pride for our students and their accomplishments, and the communities and partners who make our work possible. This year has been one of transformation, learning, and powerful milestones achieved by young people across the world. Together, we continue moving toward our mission of building economic justice through education, one student, one community, and one opportunity at a time.
Milestones from Our Students Around the World
This year, our students achieved remarkable milestones that reflect their resilience and the long-term impact of educational support. We would like to extend a special congratulations to Hayat in Ethiopia who completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Our student’s successes remind us why education remains one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives and creating meaningful opportunities.
Adapting with the Times: An Emphasis on Higher Education
As the world evolves and economic demands shift, we have deepened our commitment to supporting post-secondary education and vocational training. With a high school diploma no longer sufficient for most career paths, our programs now prioritize university access, workforce skills, and specialized training to ensure students are prepared for meaningful, stable employment. Our World Literature Program in partnership with Kaaj Education, helped support 60 girls in Afghanistan in their own production of a 100-page special literary edition about womanhood and life during war.
Creating Pathways to Economic Mobility
In 2025, we expanded initiatives that help students build long-term financial independence. Through programs like RubiKamp, hands-on skill development in computer technology as well as English and Personal Development, and support for small business creation, we are helping young adults gain employable skills, access grants, and launch entrepreneurial projects; all essential steps toward economic mobility.
Looking Forward: From Organization to Global Network
As we think about the future of this organization, we envision a global community of Social Change entities, networked to turn their shared values into action, and to promote access to
opportunity for everyone. Aspiring to this vision, AMBW will be putting a priority on the strategy of collaboration, nurturing our current partnerships, while expanding beyond to connect with new community-based entities around the world, in order to expand our reach and amplify our impact. Our guiding belief remains the same: education is one of the most powerful tools for advancing economic justice.
To Our Donors: Thank You
It was an honor to share with you, the profound impact of your quiet contributions over the years, on the life of those less fortunate and ask that you continue to accompany us on this journey, towards a more equitable and balanced world. Here’s to a brighter, and more balanced world in 2026.
